🔒 Protect your transfer information: Your account number and transfer PIN can be used to move your phone number. Only give them to the carrier you are intentionally switching to. Never send them to TapHelp, an unexpected caller, text sender, or anyone claiming they need to “verify” your account.
Get your port-out information
- Have your U.S. Cellular phone and account information ready.
- Call the U.S. Cellular porting team at 888-900-7678.
- Say you need your account number and transfer / port-out PIN to move your phone number to another carrier. The transfer PIN may be temporary, so request it close to the time you are switching.
- Complete identity verification.
