How to Update Apps on Your Phone

Keeping apps updated can fix problems, improve security, and add new features. Use this guide if your apps will not update, you need to update apps, or you are looking for App Store or Google Play Store updates.
On iPhone
- Open the App Store.
- Tap your profile picture near the top-right corner.
- Scroll down to available updates.
- Tap Update next to one app, or Update All if that option appears.
On Android
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Tap your profile picture.
- Tap Manage apps & device.
- Choose the option showing available updates.
- Tap Update next to an app, or update all apps if you prefer.
If an update will not install, check your internet connection and make sure the phone has enough free storage.
