How to Get Your Metro by T-Mobile Account Number and Transfer PIN

If you are leaving Metro and keeping your phone number, you will usually need your Metro account number and a Number Transfer PIN.
🔒 Protect your transfer information: Your account number and transfer PIN can be used to move your phone number. Only give them to the carrier you are intentionally switching to. Never send them to TapHelp, an unexpected caller, text sender, or anyone claiming they need to “verify” your account.
Find your Metro account number
- Sign in to your Metro account using your phone number and account PIN.
- Your account number is shown in your account information.
- It is commonly a 9-digit number.
Get your Transfer PIN online
- Sign in at Metro by T-Mobile.
- Open Profile Settings.
- Select Request a Transfer PIN.
- Follow the verification steps.
If you cannot generate it online
Call Metro at 1-888-863-8768 or dial 611 from your Metro phone and ask for your Number Transfer PIN and account number.
If Port Out Protection is turned on, it may need to be disabled before the number can transfer.
