How to Connect an Android Phone to Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi (also written WiFi or wifi) lets your Android phone use the internet through a trusted wireless network, such as your home internet. Use this guide if you are trying to connect a Samsung, Google Pixel, or other Android phone to wireless internet.
Steps
- Open Settings.
- Tap Connections, Network & Internet, or a similar option.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on.
- Tap the name of the network you want to use.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password if asked, then tap Connect.
Android menus can look slightly different depending on the phone brand and software version.
If it will not connect
- Double-check the password.
- Move closer to the router.
- Turn Wi-Fi off and back on.
- Restart the phone.
- Try the network on another device to see whether the internet itself is down.
